For security and occupancy control reasons, there are some car parks that require the details of the vehicle that will be parked in their facilities. However, we are aware that some of our users wish to make a Parclick booking with a rental car, and that the vehicle information will not be known until the day of collection from the rental company. Don't panic! At Parclick, we have considered this casuistry ;)
If you want to book with Parclick and during the purchase process you need to enter the information about your vehicle but you are travelling with a hire car, you can continue with the purchase process as normal. You only need to include the following information in the fields corresponding to the vehicle information:
- In the Vehicle Brand field: choose the RENTAL brand from the list.
- In the Vehicle Model field: enter the words RENTAL CAR
- In the License plate field: enter an invented number plate following the format 1234ABC (all in capital letters, without spaces or dashes, and never matching this example).
And that's it! You don't have to do anything else in particular: confirm your Parclick booking and, when you arrive at the car park, go to the control booth to validate your stay and inform the staff of your vehicle details. With this simple step, you can reserve your parking space in advance, even if you are travelling with a rental car, and you can enjoy all the benefits of a Parclick booking just like any other user ;)
Important: In some car parks that operate with a licence plate reader, such as AENA, APK2, EMT, INDIGO and Reunion Airport (France), it is necessary to enter the correct number plate at the time of booking. In this case, we regret to inform you that you will NOT be able to make a reservation with a rental car because it is not possible to change the number plate at a later date. Alternatively, you can follow the instructions on your booking voucher and call the Car Park Remote Assistance whenever you need to enter or leave the car park.
