If you have received a fine for accessing a restricted traffic zone without authorisation in Spain, France or Italy, it is possible that there has been an error in the processing of the authorisation that the car park must send to the corresponding town hall. If this was indeed the error, we inform you that the car park will draw up a proof of liability in your favour so that you can claim the amount of the fine. At Parclick, we will help you to contact those responsible for the car park so that you can deal with them directly.
However, before proceeding with this claim, it is necessary that we first study the documents received about the reasons for the fine and the time at which it is issued, as, on occasions, you may receive a fine for access to a special vehicle or pedestrian access roads, in which cases we are not responsible for this type of action.
In any case, you should send us an email to info@parclick.com with a brief summary of what happened and the following documentation attached:
- Document of the fine (if possible, in the language of the car park).
- Photocopy of the ID card of the fined parking holder
- Parclick reservation
Once we have received this documentation, if everything is in order, we will inform the car park of what has happened and we will inform you of the car park's contacts so that you can start conversations with them.
Before making your Parclick booking, or even before your trip, it is important that you consult all the information we make available on traffic restrictions in some key cities in Spain, France and Italy, which we inform our users about in our section RESTRICTED TRAFFIC ZONES in the Help section of our website. Likewise, you will have at your disposition all the steps to follow during your stay in the instructions indicated in the booking voucher attached to the purchase confirmation email.
By way of summary, here are the main regulations to take into account when accessing a car park within the following restricted traffic zones:
- DISTRITO CENTRO (MADRID, SPAIN): You will only be able to access this zone with a Parclick reservation and if you drive a vehicle with an environmental sticker catalogued by the DGT.
- ZBE BARCELONA (SPAIN): You will only be able to access this zone if you drive a vehicle with an environmental sticker catalogued by the DGT.
- ZBE PARIS (FRANCE): You will only be able to access if you drive a vehicle with an environmental sticker as catalogued by the French authorities.
- ZTL ITALY: Euro 1 petrol and Euro 2 diesel vehicles are NOT allowed access to car parks located in a ZTL zone in Italy. Accepted vehicles must obtain authorisation from the car park staff for each entry and exit to and from the car park, and this may include a fee, the amount of which may vary and the method of payment is different in each city. Take a look at our articles on the ZTL in our section RESTRICTED TRAFFIC ZONES in the help section to check if your type of vehicle can access the ZTL and to consult the specific conditions of each zone.
